Mick and Karen Carden run Davey's Food & Wine in Redhill, Surrey. He has used a Spedi EPoS system since 2003, first Spedi Manager and latterly Spedi Maintain. His two biggest plus points are stock control and price management. SPEDI Maintain downloads prices automatically every week using Spedi Booker, our electronic wholesale ordering and updates software, so he is no longer obliged to check them manually against his invoices. He reckons that this simple software saves him five to six hours per week on his twice-weekly orders and updates. He also uses Spedi Piccolink for his cash-and-carry orders. "How can you put a montetary value on the benefits of EPoS?" he asks. "A good system even increases sales. My software reminds me to order my best sellers, whereas before I would forget." Mick estimates a two year return on the cost of the system, and adds that "any half sensible retailer" would definitely be reluctant to go back to non-EPoS if they used a Spedi system for a year.
